The David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts (formerly the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center) is the largest performing arts center in the Southeast offering world-class entertainment. Home to Boathouse, Tampa River Center is a 2,880 sq. ft. event venue in Julian B Lane Riverfront Park. Being a "home base" to visiting collegiate rowing programs in winters, it offers storage and community rowing programs.

Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park is a 63-acre nonprofit zoo recognized by Florida as the center for Florida wildlife conservation and biodiversity.
